Storage conditions and validity period

2ºC~25ºC, keep away from light, validity period is 18 months.

The main components of the biochemical sensor are liquid silicone rubber and diphenylhydantoin blue; the main components of the liquid culture medium are peptone, beef extract powder, chlorinated hematin, yeast extract powder, sodium polyfurfuryl sulfonate, macroporous adsorption resin, and sodium thioacetate; the gas in the culture bottle is a mixture of nitrogen and CO2.

Limitations of the test method
1. This culture medium is not suitable for the culture of aerobic bacteria, fungi and mycobacteria.
2. If there are microbial inhibitors in the specimen, there may be missed detection.
3. Some rare fastidious microorganisms may be difficult to grow in the culture medium. If there is such a suspicion, other culture methods should be used.
4. If Streptococcus pneumoniae is not transferred immediately after reporting a positive result, it is easy to autolyze.
5. A rare phenomenon that may occur: bacteria grow in the culture bottle, but it cannot be reported as positive because the CO2 concentration produced is not enough.
6. If the sample contains antibiotics, there is occasionally a phenomenon that bacteria grow in the culture bottle, but it cannot be reported as positive.
7. If the sample inoculated in the culture bottle is insufficient, some strains that may be sensitive to anticoagulants (sodium polyanethol sulfonate), such as anaerobic peptostreptococci, may not grow or produce low concentrations of CO2.
